I’m certainly no wildlife photographer, but trying to capture these shockingly speedy little birds quickly became a game for me.
On days three through five around Iceland, I visited Detifoss (Europe’s most powerful waterfall), Godafoss, Aldeyjarfoss, Grafarkirkja Church (the oldest church in Iceland), Grjótagjá Cave (Jon Snow cave), the Hverfjall Crater, the Hvitserkur Sea Stack, and the Arctic henge. In July of 2022, I spent three weeks photographing the island of Iceland. Since it never gets dark that time of year, I was mainly shooting overnight and taking advantage of the many hours of golden and blue light. Here are some of my favorite shots of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
